About this role
The team is seeking a Principal Engineer, Software to lead the control path development for the XC product line, with a strong focus on scalability and high availability in distributed cloud environments. This role involves designing and implementing high-performance solutions for distributed cloud systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical direction of major system components in distributed systems from design through implementation.
- Create and maintain functional specifications and design documents to effectively communicate design decisions and solutions.
- Proactively identify and resolve key technical challenges and performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of components and systems.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in distributed systems and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services, including AWS or Azure.
- Experience with high-availability and scalability best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- A minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience in software development and engineering.
