The team is seeking a Principal Engineer specializing in Java Backend Engineering to join their Global Payment Product team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in the payments industry and help shape the future of global commerce.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the design and development of scalable backend systems for payment processing.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Overseeing the end-to-end systems development life cycle, including waterfall and iterative methodologies.
- Implementing best practices in software development and ensuring compliance with industry standards, such as ISO, CMM, and Six Sigma.
- Mentoring and guiding junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience in Java and backend engineering.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies and life cycles.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Familiarity with payment systems and related technologies is a plus.
Experience required: 8-10 years in software engineering with a focus on backend development.
