About this role
The team is seeking a Practice Lead for AWS to provide hands-on leadership in optimizing open-source databases running on AWS and the broader AWS ecosystem. This role is crucial for delivering architectural guidance that enhances database performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the AWS practice with a focus on open-source databases such as Aurora, RDS, and ElastiCache.
- Provide architectural guidance across the infrastructure that impacts database performance.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure they maximize the benefits of AWS services.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in AWS technologies.
- Act as a thought leader and mentor within the organization and to clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with AWS services including EKS, Aurora, RDS, ElastiCache, and MSK.
- Strong understanding of open-source database technologies.
- Proven track record in architectural design and implementation.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Experience:
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in cloud architecture and database management, with a significant focus on AWS.
