About this role
The team is seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator to manage and optimize their database platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with EDB PostgreSQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, and will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of the database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain EDB PostgreSQL, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases.
- Utilize tools such as pgBackRest, WAL, pgBouncer, PG Pool, and MySQL Workbench for database management.
- Implement and monitor database replication using MySQL replication and EFM.
- Employ monitoring tools like Zabbix, Nagios, or Prometheus to ensure system health and performance.
- Develop and maintain scripts using SQL, Bash, Python, or other automation languages for database automation.
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure, focusing on cloud-specific database services.
- Ensure compliance with database security protocols and standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL database administration.
- Proficiency in database management tools and monitoring solutions.
- Solid scripting skills in SQL, Bash, or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and services.
- In-depth knowledge of database security protocols and compliance standards.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in database administration.
