About this role
The team is seeking a highly skilled PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, optimize, and support PostgreSQL database environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, monitoring, and troubleshooting of large-scale data platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain PostgreSQL database environments.
- Manage database provisioning, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate measures.
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and improve application performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with PostgreSQL database administration.
- Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery processes.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience with large-scale data platforms and managing high-availability environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in database administration.
