The team is seeking a PostgreSQL Administrator to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for all aspects of database and application infrastructure for a diverse range of clients. You will collaborate with customer teams to understand their needs and deliver innovative solutions in both project-based and long-term support capacities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and improve application performance.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning measures as necessary.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients regarding database best practices.
- Document processes and maintain accurate records of database configurations and changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL database administration and management.
- Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure, particularly AWS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in PostgreSQL administration or related fields.
