The team is seeking a skilled PMO Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager to join their Chemical R&D team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and executing projects within the department, ensuring that all aspects of project planning and execution are handled efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform project kick-offs to assign core team members and identify stakeholders.
- Generate comprehensive project plans using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Assign resources and establish timelines for project milestones.
- Prepare project budgets and manage budget approvals effectively.
- Communicate cost expectations and manage stakeholder relationships regarding budget matters.
- Develop a phased cost plan for projects.
- Arrange and facilitate weekly/monthly core team meetings to discuss project status, updates, and delays.
- Report on project progress and ensure all team members are informed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in project management within a chemical or R&D environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in project planning software and budget management tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in the chemical or R&D sectors.
