About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Platform Engineer III to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing AI Platform capabilities deployed on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) within Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will enable product teams to build and deploy Generative AI applications and self-hosted models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and optimize AI Platform capabilities on GKE in GCP.
- Apply software and platform engineering best practices to ensure high code quality.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Utilize GitOps methodologies for efficient version control and deployment.
- Implement OTel telemetry for monitoring and performance tracking.
- Document processes and maintain reliable platform components and internal developer tooling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance platform capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proficiency in software engineering best practices, including CI/CD and automated testing.
- Familiarity with GitOps and OTel telemetry.
- Experience in building and deploying AI applications is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in platform engineering or related fields.
