About this role
The team is seeking a Platform Engineer to take ownership of the design, build, and maintenance of their Internal Developer Platform (IDP) self-service tooling and infrastructure-as-code automation. In this role, you will transform developer-facing self-service requests into provisioned, production-grade AWS/EKS infrastructure, creating automation, pipelines, and templates that empower engineering teams to operate efficiently while ensuring reliability and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Author and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates for AWS and EKS.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to gather requirements and optimize workflows.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for the IDP tooling and infrastructure.
- Continuously improve the platform by integrating feedback and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with AWS services, particularly EKS.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Experience with containerization technologies, especially Docker.
- Solid understanding of networking, security, and governance in cloud environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years in platform engineering or related fields.
