About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Oracle DBA Manager to oversee the management of large production databases. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise in installing, configuring, upgrading, migrating, and managing Oracle databases, particularly in high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain large production Oracle databases to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database systems as needed.
- Oversee database migrations and ensure data integrity during the process.
- Perform regular backups and recovery operations using RMAN.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of database systems.
- Design logical and physical structures of databases to support business needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database solutions meet enterprise requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Deep conceptual knowledge of Oracle RDBMS internals.
- Proficiency in Oracle GoldenGate and Siebel.
- Strong experience in backup and recovery strategies.
- Proven ability in performance tuning and optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6-10 years of hands-on experience as a DBA managing production environments.
