About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join their Managed Services team. This is a full-time remote position that requires a strong understanding of Oracle database management and administration. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of database systems for various clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and improve application performance.
- Ensure database security by implementing best practices and compliance measures.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to database configurations and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator with 5-8 years in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture and administration.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Experience with database backup and recovery tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with performance tuning and optimization practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
