The team is seeking an Offshore ETL Engineer (DBT SME) to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for a passionate individual looking to contribute to a forward-thinking organization. The dbt Subject Matter Expert (SME) will act as the architectural authority for the target-state transformation layer, defining standards, patterns, and best practices for data transformation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement ETL processes using dbt to ensure efficient data transformation.
- Define and maintain best practices for data modeling and transformation.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in ETL and data transformation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience with dbt and ETL processes.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience in data modeling and data governance practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in ETL engineering and data transformation.
