About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Network Security Engineer to join their Corporate IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the organization's network infrastructure. You will work closely with IT teams to implement and maintain security protocols that protect sensitive data and systems from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage network security solutions to safeguard corporate data.
- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
- Provide training and support to staff on security best practices and protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security technologies.
- Proficiency in network protocols and security standards (e.g., TCP/IP, SSL, etc.).
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in network security or a related field is required.
