About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Network Security Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and securing network infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance and security in high availability environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, monitor, and tune WAN/LAN network devices to optimize network performance.
- Provide technical accountability for network security measures and implementations.
- Manage Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches and ISR in a 1G/10G multi VLAN distributed network.
- Implement security protocols and measures to safeguard network integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to DNS, IP, firewalls, and latency.
- Utilize WAN acceleration tools and manage routing and switching protocols including RIP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP, and VTP.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven knowledge of WAN, LAN, and MAN technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Experience with Cisco networking equipment and configurations.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and optimization tools.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in network administration and security.
