About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling complex network issues and optimizing network systems. As a Level 2 engineer, you will serve as a crucial link between support and design/architecture teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents that Level 1 support cannot handle.
- Configure and optimize switches, routers, and firewalls, specifically Cisco and Juniper devices.
- Analyze logs and traffic patterns to diagnose and address network bottlenecks.
- Support Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs), wireless networks, and site-to-site connectivity.
- Implement routing protocols and ensure network performance meets organizational standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in network engineering, with a strong understanding of network protocols and architecture.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco and Juniper devices.
- Experience with VPN, VLAN, and wireless network configurations.
- Strong analytical skills for diagnosing network issues and performance tuning.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in network engineering or a similar role.
