About this role
The team is seeking a skilled MySQL DBA to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with MySQL and a solid understanding of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra/Scylla, Aerospike, Couchbase, and Elasticsearch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement database design and performance tuning strategies.
- Conduct data migration, upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and monitoring.
- Handle real-time issue management and provide solutions to database-related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize costs and improve database efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in MySQL and experience with NoSQL databases.
- Proficient in shell scripting and automation tools.
- Knowledge of AWS and its database services.
- Familiarity with security compliance and best practices in database management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Education: BE/BTech, MCA, or MTech.
Experience Level: 3 to 6 years in database administration.
