About this role
The team is seeking an experienced MS SQL Server / Azure SQL Database Administrator to join their team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration with a focus on SQL Server and Azure SQL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Microsoft SQL Server environments from versions 2008 to 2022.
- Manage and maintain Azure SQL databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform cloud and on-premises database migrations effectively and efficiently.
- Monitor and optimize database performance through performance tuning techniques.
- Design and support High Availability solutions to ensure continuous database access.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server and Azure SQL.
- In-depth knowledge of database administration best practices.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and database migration strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in Database Administration.
