About this role
The team is seeking a highly skilled MS SQL DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of the database systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize stored procedures and queries for efficient data retrieval.
- Continuously monitor database performance and implement enhancements as needed.
- Enhance security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.
- Address various database and server configuration issues to maintain optimal operation.
- Define and implement backup and restore strategies to safeguard data integrity.
- Monitor resource utilization and optimize database performance accordingly.
- Manage comprehensive documentation related to database configurations and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Strong experience in database performance tuning and optimization.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies.
- Knowledge of security best practices for SQL databases.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in database administration, specifically with MS SQL Server.
