About this role
The team is seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator to join their team in Coimbatore. This full-time position requires working US hours from 6 PM to 3 AM IST. The SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems to ensure the availability and consistent performance of corporate applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and configure SQL Server databases to meet business requirements.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks including backups, recovery, and updates.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and performance.
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate measures.
- Document database configurations, procedures, and changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with MS SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Proficient in T-SQL, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with high availability solutions such as clustering and replication.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in database administration, particularly with MS SQL Server.
