About this role
The team is seeking a Member of Technical Staff - Cloud to join their innovative team. In this role, you will develop cutting-edge, high-performance cloud and container technologies specifically designed for Edge computing. You will engage with dynamic and exciting open source software projects, including Kubernetes (K8S), Helm, and OpenStack.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance cloud and container technologies for Edge applications.
- Collaborate within a team focused on containerization, virtualization, VM management, and fault tolerance.
- Actively contribute to StarlingX, an open source project under the OpenStack Foundation, ensuring it remains a fully featured cloud solution.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions to improve system performance and scalability.
- Engage with the open source community to drive project adoption and contributions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and OpenStack.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies and containerization concepts.
- Familiarity with virtualization and VM management practices.
- Experience in developing fault-tolerant systems and carrier-grade applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years in cloud technologies or related fields.
