About this role
The team is seeking a Manager of Data Engineering to join their Global Technology organization at the India Tech Centre in Bangalore. In this role, you will support Consumer Product & Innovation capabilities, reporting directly to the Engineering Director. You will lead a team of data engineers and work closely with product managers, principal engineers, architects, data scientists, security teams, platform experts, and various business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data solutions.
- Ensure data quality and integrity across various platforms and products.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and architecture to support analytics and reporting.
- Drive best practices in data engineering and foster a culture of innovation.
- Monitor and optimize data processes for efficiency and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience in data engineering, with a focus on building scalable data solutions.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
