About this role
The team is seeking a Manager 2, Software Engineering to lead a team of software engineers in developing and confirming architecture and design decisions, as well as implementation approaches. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between internal customers and product management to ensure product requirements are clearly identified and understood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software engineers to develop and validate architecture and design decisions.
- Work closely with internal customers and product management to clarify product requirements.
- Manage the scope and deliverables for the technical aspects of the product roadmap.
- Direct team members to prioritize high-impact projects and development tasks.
- Lead recruiting efforts to build a strong engineering team.
- Identify, review, and incorporate opportunities for process improvements within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software engineering and team management.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design principles.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in software engineering and team leadership.
