About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Mainframe z/OS Systems Programmer to lead the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of z/OS systems. This role involves ensuring compliance with company regulations and security standards while assisting in the testing, implementation, and installation of new and improved systems.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the installation and upgrade of z/OS systems.
- Perform RSU maintenance and administer z/OS environments.
- Execute changes in line with company regulations and security standards.
- Assist with the testing and implementation of new systems and product upgrades.
- Provide IPL support and resolve JES2/3 issues.
- Utilize TSO/ISPF, CLIST, and REXX for various programming tasks.
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
- Attend meetings and interact regularly with management, team members, and clients to enhance service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with z/OS systems programming and administration.
- Proficiency in JES2/JES3, TSO/ISPF, CLIST, and REXX.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teams and clients.
Experience: 5-8 years in mainframe systems programming or a related field.
