About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Mainframe Systems Programmer with expertise in IBM Z16 systems to join their engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of mainframe systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement mainframe solutions to meet business needs.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mainframe systems with other IT infrastructure.
- Maintain system documentation and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with IBM Z16 architecture and mainframe programming.
- Proficiency in JCL, COBOL, and other mainframe languages.
- Familiarity with database management systems such as DB2 or IMS.
- Knowledge of system security protocols and backup procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe systems programming or a related field.
