About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Mainframe IMS Application DBA / IMS DBA Analyst to support mission-critical IMS database environments running on IBM z/OS. This is a part-time freelance position that offers the flexibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain IMS databases ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Perform database recovery and implement performance tuning strategies.
- Utilize IMS utilities for effective database management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in high-availability enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database integrity and availability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience in IMS Database Administration.
- Proficient in performance tuning and database recovery techniques.
- Familiarity with IMS utilities and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience working in high-availability enterprise environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Mainframe IMS Database Administration.
