About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe application development and a strong understanding of various database management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
- Manage and optimize IMS DB/DC and DB2 databases.
- Write and maintain job scripts using Job Control Language (JCL) for batch processing.
- Perform database queries and optimizations using SQL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application performance.
- Familiarize with supply systems and the Union Pacific ecosystem.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in COBOL and JCL.
- Strong experience with IMS DB/DC and DB2 database management.
- Advanced skills in SQL for database optimization.
- Competency in assembler language is a plus.
- Familiarity with supply systems and the Union Pacific ecosystem is beneficial.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years in mainframe development.
