About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Mainframe DB2 Application Developer with a strong background in COBOL, DB2, JCL, SQL, and CICS. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, testing, and supporting enterprise Mainframe applications, with a particular emphasis on DB2 application development and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance Mainframe applications using COBOL and DB2.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
- Create and manage JCL scripts for batch processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Conduct testing and debugging of applications to ensure high quality and performance.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing applications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, JCL, SQL, and CICS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in performance tuning of DB2 applications.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience:
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in Mainframe application development.
