About this role
The team is seeking a Lead/Senior Lead Engineer specializing in Layer 2 and Layer 3 development. This role involves designing and implementing software solutions for networking protocols, ensuring high performance and reliability in complex network environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and debug L2/L3 protocols including VLAN, STP, VXLAN, and BGP.
- Work with CISCO OS (IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS) for protocol development.
- Implement and maintain multi-threading and socket programming.
- Enhance software architecture for L2/L3 components.
- Contribute to debugging and fixing protocol-related bugs.
- Design and develop software solutions for L2/L3 networking protocols.
- Work with data structures and ensure performance optimizations.
- Collaborate with teams on the integration and testing of networking solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in L2/L3 networking protocols and their implementation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ or Python.
- Familiarity with multi-threading and socket programming.
- Experience with CISCO networking environments and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in software engineering focused on networking protocols.
