About this role

The team is seeking a Lead/Senior Data Scientist specializing in Retail Demand Forecasting. In this role, you will leverage advanced machine learning techniques to drive business insights and optimize demand forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply a variety of machine learning techniques including clustering, regression, ensemble learning, neural networks, and time series analysis.
  • Develop and optimize models for demand sensing and forecasting, including heuristic, linear programming, genetic algorithms, and anomaly detection.
  • Implement simulation and stochastic models to enhance market intelligence and decision-making.
  • Utilize the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to address complex business challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven solutions into business operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation libraries.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Experience in demand forecasting and optimization in a retail context is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years in data science or a related field, with a focus on machine learning applications.
