About this role
The team is seeking a Lead/Senior Data Scientist specializing in Retail Demand Forecasting. In this role, you will leverage advanced machine learning techniques to drive business insights and optimize demand forecasting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply a variety of machine learning techniques including clustering, regression, ensemble learning, neural networks, and time series analysis.
- Develop and optimize models for demand sensing and forecasting, including heuristic, linear programming, genetic algorithms, and anomaly detection.
- Implement simulation and stochastic models to enhance market intelligence and decision-making.
- Utilize the latest advancements in AI and machine learning to address complex business challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven solutions into business operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation libraries.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Experience in demand forecasting and optimization in a retail context is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in data science or a related field, with a focus on machine learning applications.
