About this role
The team is seeking a high-energy, curious, and versatile Lead Geospatial AI Engineer to head their GeoAI R&D team. In this role, you will be the technical architect behind complex computer vision problems and the operational lead driving multiple projects to success. You must be comfortable pivoting between deep research, hands-on coding, and strategic team management in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a cross-functional team in the development and implementation of GeoAI solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and researchers to foster a collaborative environment.
- Design and architect advanced computer vision systems that leverage geospatial data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals and deliverables.
- Conduct research to stay abreast of the latest advancements in geospatial AI and computer vision.
- Develop and maintain high-quality codebases and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in computer vision, machine learning, and geospatial analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with geospatial tools and libraries (e.g., GDAL, QGIS, ArcGIS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5-8 years in AI engineering, with a focus on geospatial applications.
