About this role
The team is seeking a Lead Frontend Engineer with expertise in Shopify to head one of their engineering pods. This leadership-first role requires a strong technical background and the ability to mentor and grow a team while managing complex Shopify engagements. You will be responsible for setting the technical direction, driving delivery, and collaborating closely with product, design, and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture reviews and technical planning sessions.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Drive the delivery of high-quality frontend solutions on the Shopify platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Act as the engineering counterpart to product and design teams, ensuring technical feasibility and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in frontend development, specifically with Shopify.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years in frontend development, with a focus on Shopify projects.
