About this role
The team is seeking a Lead Fleet Reliability Data Engineer to join their Fleet Performance & Analytics team within the Fleet Intelligence & Reliability organization. This role is crucial for building and maintaining a trusted data foundation that is essential for understanding the health, performance, reliability, and intervention history of their global Solar and Storage installed fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure accurate and timely data collection from various sources.
- Analyze operational telemetry, alarms, and events to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data from asset hierarchy and equipment configurations.
- Design and implement data models that support reliability and performance analytics.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and testing processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance fleet performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience with data engineering tools and technologies, including SQL, Python, and data visualization tools.
- Proficiency in handling large datasets and experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with telemetry data and reliability engineering principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in data engineering or analytics, preferably in the energy or technology sectors.
