About this role
The team is seeking a hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer to manage and enhance their AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes platform, and CI/CD pipelines. This role is critical to ensuring production reliability, security, and effective cloud cost management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Backend, Frontend, QA, and Engineering teams, reporting directly to the Head of Engineering or CTO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platform.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
- Ensure high levels of production reliability and system performance.
- Develop and enforce security best practices across cloud environments.
- Monitor cloud costs and implement strategies for cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support development and deployment processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with AWS services and architecture.
- Proficiency in container orchestration using Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD tools and practices.
- Experience in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering.
