About this role
The team is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join their Data and Analytics team. In this role, you will work alongside consulting teams and partners, engaging directly with clients to understand their business challenges and requirements. You will be responsible for exploring large-scale data, designing, developing, and maintaining data and software pipelines, as well as ETL processes for both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to identify and address their data-related challenges.
- Design and implement robust data architectures to support model building.
- Develop and maintain efficient ETL processes to ensure high-quality data availability.
- Advocate for best practices in data engineering, including code hygiene and code reviews.
- Provide guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the data journey.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in data engineering tools and frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or similar technologies.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for data solutions.
- Knowledge of database management systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with a proven track record of delivering data solutions.
