About this role
The team is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer (Golang) for their AI-Native Engineering team. In this role, you will leverage your deep software engineering expertise to design, build, and operate highly scalable backend systems, integrating AI and automation to enhance software delivery and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end development of backend services, from architecture and design to deployment and production reliability.
- Design and implement scalable, distributed microservices using Golang, focusing on performance and maintainability.
- Architect event-driven systems utilizing async messaging, queues, and streaming patterns.
- Build and optimize RESTful and/or gRPC APIs for web, mobile, and third-party integrations.
- Collaborate across the stack with React and Node.js services to deliver cohesive product features.
- Develop cloud-native services on AWS, using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Optimize application performance and reliability as product usage scales.
- Implement comprehensive testing strategies and drive observability best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and perform root cause analysis.
AI-Native Engineering & SDLC Acceleration:
- Design AI-powered engineering workflows to enhance software delivery velocity.
- Build internal tools and automation systems for development and operational workflows.
- Develop AI-assisted solutions for code generation, testing, and documentation.
- Implement intelligent CI/CD workflows leveraging AI.
- Evaluate and integrate modern AI technologies and frameworks into the engineering ecosystem.
Requirements:
- 5 to 10 years of strong hands-on backend engineering experience with a focus on AI.
- Preferred educational background includes B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E/MCA/M.S.
- Proficient in Golang, microservices, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
- Familiarity with AI technologies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and various LLMs is advantageous.
- Experience with databases like PostgreSQL or DynamoDB is required.
