About this role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Azure Data Engineer to design, build, optimize, and support enterprise-scale data platforms on Azure. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and data warehousing using technologies such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Delta Lake, PySpark, and Azure SQL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement data pipelines and workflows to support data ingestion and processing.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Optimize existing data processes for performance and scalability.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
- Work closely with data architects and analysts to develop data models and support analytics initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Azure cloud services and data engineering tools.
- Proficiency in data ingestion and transformation using Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with Delta Lake and PySpark for big data processing.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience: 8-10 years in data engineering or related fields.
