About this role
The team is seeking an experienced L3 Network Engineer to provide strategic and technical leadership within their network operations. This role is crucial for overseeing complex migration strategies and serving as the final escalation point for critical network incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead large-scale migration projects and complex deployments, acting as the technical authority during critical cutover windows.
- Provide expert-level technical oversight and support during network incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
- Offer 'on-call' support during night-time maintenance windows to address any urgent network issues.
- Review and approve network designs and configurations to ensure compliance with best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network strategies with business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in network architecture and design, particularly in large-scale environments.
- Proficiency in routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
- Experience with network security best practices and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud networking solutions, particularly AWS or Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Experience: 5-8 years in network engineering or a related field, with a focus on strategic leadership and complex project management.
