About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Java Scala Data Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server-side programming and a deep understanding of data engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot, focusing on concurrent programming.
- Design and implement message-based architectures utilizing MQ and Kafka.
- Work with modern orchestration frameworks, particularly Kubernetes, to manage application deployments.
- Write complex SQL queries and manage database technologies effectively.
- Utilize Unix/Linux scripting skills, including Shell and Python, to automate processes and enhance system performance.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with team members to solve complex problems and improve system functionality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Java and Scala programming.
- Strong knowledge of Spring framework and concurrent programming concepts.
- Familiarity with message queuing systems like Kafka and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Proficient in database management and query writing.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in data engineering and software development.
