About this role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer with over 10 years of hands-on software development experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java 21, Spring Boot or Quarkus, and have a deep understanding of microservices, reactive programming, and distributed systems. Familiarity with cloud technologies and event-driven architectures is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java 21, Spring Boot, and/or Quarkus.
- Build and enhance microservices, distributed systems, REST APIs, gRPC services, and event-driven architectures.
- Develop reactive and non-blocking applications utilizing functional programming and reactive architecture principles.
- Collaborate with Kafka/MQ, PostgreSQL/NoSQL databases, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes to create cloud-native solutions.
- Implement CI/CD, automation, observability, security, resilience, and DevOps best practices while working with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on coding expertise in Java.
- Proficiency in Java 21, Spring Boot/Quarkus, microservices, distributed systems, and reactive/non-blocking programming.
- Experience with REST APIs, gRPC, Kafka/MQ, event-driven systems, Docker, Kubernetes, and preferably GCP.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL/NoSQL, OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, CI/CD, observability, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering teams.
