About this role
The team is seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join their team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a strong programming background in Core Java and be proficient in the latest Java features. This role involves developing robust backend systems and APIs that are critical to the team operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Core Java and Spring Framework.
- Create and manage RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Implement features using Java 8/11/17/21, focusing on OOP principles, Collections, Exception Handling, Multithreading, and Java Streams.
- Collaborate with database teams to design and optimize SQL databases and utilize JPA/Hibernate for data management.
- Utilize Git for version control and participate in code reviews and collaborative development processes.
- Write unit tests using JUnit and Mockito to ensure code quality and reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong programming experience in Core Java.
- Proficient with Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience in developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database design principles.
- Familiarity with JPA/Hibernate and Git-based workflows.
- Understanding of unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in Java backend development.
