About this role
The team is an Ireland-based company with over 20 years of experience in safety and compliance consulting. They have developed a robust EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) training and compliance management platform on Moodle, enhanced by custom-built plugins. As they continue to scale their platform and support future growth, they are looking to hire an Information Technology Specialist.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure, ensuring the optimal performance of the Moodle platform, and providing technical support to users. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimize the Moodle platform and custom plugins.
- Provide technical support and training to staff and users.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement new features and improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Monitor system performance and security, ensuring compliance with best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Moodle administration and plugin development.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Familiarity with database management (MySQL or similar).
- Experience with IT support and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
