Information Security Governance and Risk Specialist

The team is seeking an Information Security Governance and Risk Specialist to champion the governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives, focusing specifically on information security across the global enterprise. This role requires a strong commitment to integrity, vigilance, and excellence in all aspects of information security management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent the core values of the organization in all activities and decisions.
• Design and sustain rigorous information security policies and controls to preempt security violations and protect against breaches and incidents.
• Oversee the creation and ongoing management of documentation related to information security governance.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of information security controls and make recommendations for improvements.
• Provide training and awareness programs for staff to promote a culture of security within the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in information security governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of relevant frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across teams.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in information security governance and risk management.
