About this role
The team is seeking an experienced Incident Commander for a senior cybersecurity communications role. This position is pivotal in leading stakeholder communication, coordination, and reporting during significant security incidents. The Incident Commander will work closely with the technical response lead to ensure that updates to executives, customers, legal, compliance, and other key stakeholders are timely, accurate, and aligned with regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate communication efforts during security incidents.
- Ensure accurate reporting to all stakeholders, including executives and compliance teams.
- Develop and maintain incident response templates and communication strategies.
- Conduct exercises to strengthen incident readiness and response capabilities.
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand incident impact and response.
- Provide guidance on regulatory obligations related to incident reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Communications, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in cybersecurity communications or incident management.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and incident response processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to cybersecurity incidents.
