About this role
The team is seeking a Group Head - Data Engineer to lead and oversee the technical implementation of data pipelines and migration requirements in Mumbai. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the data platform is utilized to its fullest potential by designing and building applications tailored to business stakeholder needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the technical aspects of data pipeline implementation.
- Interface directly with stakeholders to gather and understand their requirements.
- Develop and maintain automated end-to-end data engineering solutions.
- Implement data pipelines to automate the ingestion, transformation, and augmentation of both structured and unstructured real-time data.
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data engineering efforts with business objectives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong background in designing and implementing data pipelines.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions and ETL tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of both structured and unstructured data handling.
- Excellent communication skills to interface with stakeholders effectively.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a similar role.
