About this role
The team is seeking a Golang Software Engineer for a 6-month remote contract engagement. The successful candidate will support critical integration, optimization, and backend infrastructure alignment projects. This role offers the autonomy to manage your work location while ensuring reliable contract management and international payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the engineering team in executing integrations with high precision.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Go (Golang).
- Build robust APIs (RESTful and/or gRPC) to ensure seamless data exchange between disparate systems.
- Optimize applications to ensure high availability and data integrity.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 3+ years of backend development experience, with a strong focus on Golang.
- Solid understanding of Go idioms, concurrency mechanisms (Goroutines and Channels), and backend architecture.
- Proven record of working on integration projects, microservices, or custom middleware.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Meticulous approach to coding and testing to ensure system stability during integration.
- Proactive problem-solver with the ability to troubleshoot logic, memory leaks, or data integrity issues independently.
- Highly organized and capable of managing tasks effectively in a fully remote, autonomous environment.
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is highly preferred.
- Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) or event-driven architectures.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Flexibility to join meetings during US Eastern Time (EST) business hours.
- Prior experience working with large-scale environments or publicly traded tech companies.
