About this role
Our client is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Engineer with a focus on JSON Schema development for a contract position. This role is fully remote and requires a commitment of 10-40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze complex PDF documents to identify relevant data fields for extraction.
- Design and implement deeply nested JSON schemas from scratch, adhering to data modeling best practices.
- Define field types, naming conventions, and hierarchical structures to accurately model nested and repeated information.
- Embed granular validation logic to ensure data integrity, including sum checks and null-testing.
- Collaborate with API Gateway teams to design, document, and enforce API contracts using JSON Schema standards.
- Work closely with stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver clear, actionable schema documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience designing complex JSON schemas, including objects within arrays and multilevel nesting.
- Strong proficiency in JSON, schema design, and data validation methodologies.
- Ability to interpret raw documents and architect robust information models from scratch.
- Deep understanding of required vs. optional fields, data types, field descriptions, and validation rules.
- Hands-on experience with API Gateway management and defining secure API contracts.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in software development and JSON schema design.
