Frontend Engineer, Market Tech (Contract)

The team is seeking a Frontend Engineer contractor to join their Market Tech team, which is responsible for the order page platform that drives new member subscriptions and upgrades. This role is crucial as it directly influences user acquisition and retention. You will be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values quality work and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain components for a Sanity-based order page application.
• Implement new content types and schemas in Sanity Studio for marketer self-service control.
• Write and maintain end-to-end tests using Playwright or similar tools for critical purchase paths.
• Contribute to improvements in URL structure, routing, and application architecture.
• Collaborate with a focused engineering team using tools like Zoom, Jira, and Slack.
• Explore AI tools for content generation and A/B testing of order page content.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Expert-level proficiency in React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and Next.js, including App Router and server components.
• Experience building applications with a headless CMS; familiarity with Sanity is a strong plus.
• Ability to write and maintain end-to-end tests and ensure critical purchase path coverage.
• Knowledge of Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines for Next.js applications.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote contractor role.
• Daily use of AI tools for planning and implementation.
• Solid understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and a keen eye for conversion-focused UI/UX.
• Experience with system monitoring and error reporting tools like Datadog and Sentry.
• Ability to review code, participate in on-call rotations, and adapt to shifting requirements.
• Bonus points for experience with OneTrust or Stripe-integrated purchase flows.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in frontend engineering, particularly with modern frameworks and tools.
