Freelance Back-End Developer

The team is seeking a Freelance Back-End Developer who thrives on the challenge of building robust and highly efficient systems. You should be comfortable across the full stack, with deep expertise in PHP, and have the versatility to work seamlessly with modern front-end tech stacks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality, efficient, and accessible user interfaces using Next.js.
• Architect and implement data consumption from our headless CMS, focusing on CMS integration and GraphQL.
• Architect, develop, and maintain web applications with a strong emphasis on PHP back-end architecture.
• Work extensively with headless CMS platforms, ensuring optimal performance and integration.
• Maintain efficient back-end services for front-end consumption, particularly for applications built with Next.js.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and other DevOps practices.
• Optimize back-end processes and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with other developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of web development experience, with a strong focus on back-end and API architecture.
• Experience working with a creative agency is a plus.
• Deep expertise in PHP, with a strong preference for modern frameworks.
• Strong understanding of Next.js and modern front-end frameworks.
• Significant hands-on experience with headless CMS and CMS as data sources.
• Advanced GraphQL experience is essential.
• Proficiency in Next, React, JavaScript, CSS, and version control systems (Git).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Excellent proactive communication and collaboration abilities.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands-on experience with Craft CMS, Contentful, and Statamic CMS platforms.
• A strict API-first approach in API development and database management.
