Flutter Developer - Remote (Contract)

The team is seeking a Flutter Developer for a contract position that is fully remote. This role involves working directly on one of the team internal products, focusing on shipping features that enhance user experience and iterating based on feedback. The initial engagement is for one month, with the possibility of extension based on product roadmap needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain features for the internal Flutter mobile product across Android and iOS platforms.
• Translate product specifications and designs into pixel-accurate UIs that feel polished.
• Implement RESTful APIs and manage JSON data flows, including authentication, error handling, and offline behavior.
• Utilize state management techniques such as Provider, Bloc, Riverpod, or similar patterns.
• Apply Clean Architecture or MVVM principles to ensure the codebase remains maintainable as the product evolves.
• Optimize app performance, memory usage, startup time, and rendering for a live product with active users.
• Integrate device features such as camera, location services, notifications, biometrics, and local storage as required by the product roadmap.
• Collaborate with the product team to measure user behavior and analytics, and iterate on features accordingly.
• Debug and resolve issues reported by users in production.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to development best practices, and help shape the technical direction of the product.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience building production Flutter applications, with published apps on the Play Store or App Store being a strong plus.
• Strong proficiency in Dart and a solid understanding of OOP and software design principles.
• Experience with state management tools (Provider, Bloc, Riverpod, GetX, or similar).
• Familiarity with Clean Architecture, MVVM, or feature-driven architecture patterns.
• Ability to build reusable widgets, complex layouts, and custom UI components.
• Solid understanding of asynchronous programming in Dart (Futures, Streams, async/await, isolates).
• Experience integrating REST APIs and managing authentication flows (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
• Proficient with debugging tools, performance profiling, and managing the app lifecycle.
• Knowledge of local storage solutions (SQLite, Hive, SharedPreferences, etc.).
• Excellent written communication skills in English, as most work is conducted asynchronously.
• Experience publishing apps end-to-end through the Play Store and App Store, including signing, store listings, and review processes.
• Experience with consumer-facing products and live analytics.
• Familiarity with native development (Kotlin, Swift) for platform channel work.
• Experience integrating third-party SDKs (analytics, ads, payments, Firebase, etc.).
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools and the ability to integrate them into the workflow effectively.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for mobile (Codemagic, Fastlane, GitHub Actions).

Experience:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Flutter development and mobile application design.
