The team, a leading software development company, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead their backend engineering team in Bengaluru. This role involves overseeing both engineers and managers to build robust APIs and services that power back-end experiences across the web, as well as contributing to front-end web development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers and managers.
- Design, implement, and maintain high-performance APIs and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver on project requirements.
- Ensure best practices in software development, including code reviews and testing.
- Drive technical innovation and improve engineering processes.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend development.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies like React or Angular is a plus.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
